The University of Reunion is a French higher education and research institution located in the heart of the Indian Ocean. Its unique geostrategic position makes it the only European university in this part of the world. Academic start: mid-August

Semester 1: mid-August to mid-December

Mid-December to mid-January: winter holidays

Semester 2: mid-January to June

July to mid-August: summer holidays

Exam period

Final examination:

  • For semester 1 (SM1), the examination week generally takes place around the end of November - beginning of December (varies according to the UFR).
  • For semester 2 (SM2), the exam week generally takes place around May-June (varies according to the UFR).

Continuous assessment: throughout the year.

Approval for a virtual mobility

You must meet the academic and administrative requirements set by your home university in order to be eligible for international virtual mobility.

Credits equivalence

Check with your advisor at your home university to find out about the equivalence of North American, South American and European credits (ECTS).

Official transcript

The transcript of marks is sent by email to the students and their university. The home university will convert the marks.

Digital environment

Once they have completed their administrative registration, all students receive the information they need to connect to their student portal and to the University of Reunion's Moodle teaching platform.

Obtaining the credits:

ECTS credits can only be obtained after successful completion of the required work and appropriate assessment of the learning outcomes.

Credits are awarded to students only when they obtain a mark of between 10 and 20. Credits below 10 are not awarded.
