The University of Bordeaux is an international, multidisciplinary, research-led institution. Ranked among the top 12 French universities for the quality of its teaching and research, the University of Bordeaux was awarded the "Initiative d'Excellence" by the French government in 2011. Approval for a virtual mobility
You must meet the academic and administrative requirements set by your home university in order to be eligible for international virtual mobility.
Credits equivalence
Check with your advisor at your home university to find out about the equivalence of North American, South American and European credits (ECTS).
The University of Bordeaux uses the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The workload for a semester is 30 ECTS and 60 ECTS for an academic year. Credits are only awarded to students who obtain a mark of between 10 and 20. Credits are not awarded for a grade lower than 10/20.

Official transcript
Varies according to faculties/institutes.
The transcript of records is sent by email to the student, who must then send it to their faculty/university and the home university will convert the grades in line with the local workload.
Digital environment
Each student will receive the information needed to connect to Moodle, the Université de Bordeaux's digital learning environment, as well as :
- an identification number (INE)
- a Université de Bordeaux connection identifier
- a Université de Bordeaux email address
